Jammy Apple & Cinnamon Porridge
Warm, spiced, and ready in under 15 minutes, this jammy apple porridge is the kind of breakfast you wake up craving on cold mornings. As the apples cook down and melt into the oats, every bowl delivers zinc, biotin, and healthy fats that do more than satisfy, supporting stronger hair and a healthier scalp.
Serves 1, generously
For the porridge
1/2 cup oats
1 cup milk of choice (we use plant-based oat milk)
2 tsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1-2 tsp maple syrup
1 tbsp sultanas (or other dried fruit such as chopped dates)
1 scoop of plain or vanilla protein powder (optional)
pinch of salt
For the jammy apples
1 apple, chopped
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp sunflower seeds
1 tsp butter/coconut oil
1 tsp almond butter, to finish

Method
- Combine all the ingredients for the porridge in a small saucepan and set over medium heat.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a splash of water during cooking if the porridge starts to dry out.
- While the oats are cooking, melt the coconut oil (or butter) in a pan over low heat, then add apples, sunflower seeds, and cinnamon, stirring to combine. Put on a lid and cook for 6-8 minutes, stirring constantly. Add a splash of water during cooking to help steam the apples.
- Top oats with apples, sunflower seeds & almond butter.
Save this recipe to enjoy on chilly mornings.
